  2. Top EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

    There was no extraordinary business.

  3. Top AOTEA CENTRE ARTWORK DECOMMISSION "KARANGA" BY WINIFRED BELCHER

    1. That the artwork "Karanga" by Winifred Belcher be loaned to the University of Auckland for placement in the new foyer entrance of the School of Engineering library for a period of ten years (renewable).
    2. That the final wording of draft loan agreement between Auckland City Council and the University of Auckland for the artwork "Karanga" by Winifred Belcher, be reviewed by the City solicitor and approved by the Director: Planning Services.

  4. Top CHINESE NEW ZEALANDERS MILLENIUM TRUST SCULPTURE

    1. That the Public Art Sub-Committee endorse the new location of the Millennium Tree in the Domain.
    2. That a tour of the public art in the City be organised for the Public Art Sub Committee.

  5. Top TAI TUTAKI SCULPTURE PROJECT – WEST AUCKLAND SCULPTURE TRUST

    1. That the final contract documentation between Council and the organising sponsor, West Auckland City Trust, with respect to the Lucy Luxton and Antonio Walmsley sculpture (Tai Tutaki sculpture) and its placement and ongoing maintenance on the Ash Street Bridge be approved by the Chairperson of the Public Art Sub-Committee and the Director Planning Services following a review by the City solicitor.
    2.  
      1. That the report of the Senior Arts Planner dated 1 April 2005 and the resolutions be forwarded to the Avondale Community Board and the Arts Culture and Recreation Committee for their information.
      2. That the Public Art Sub Committee notes depreciation through the rates will fund the maintenance of the Tai Tutaki Sculpture Project, estimated at $2,500 pa.
      3. That Councillor Sefuiva be added to the Public Art Sub-Committee.

  6. Top PRESENTATION TO SUB-COMMITTEE ON UPCOMING PROJECTS

    1. That the Public Art Sub-Committee thank the Senior Arts Planner for his presentation regarding upcoming projects.
    2. That the Committee endorses the proposed work as scheduled;
      1. Auckland City Sculpture Trust
      2. CBD Upgrade
      3. Twister – Viaduct Harbour
      4. Arena – Ngati Whatua
      5. Wind Tree – Western Springs
      6. RACS Projects
      7. Decommissioning
      8. CBD Public Art Development Plan
    3. That a tour of the public art in the City be organised for the Public Art Sub Committee.
