  2. Top CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

    That the minutes of the Public Art Sub-Committee meeting held on Wednesday, 28 March 2007 be confirmed as a true and correct record.

    There was no extraordinary business.

  4. Top PUBLIC FORUM

    There were no requests to speak in public forum.

  5. Top REPORTS REQUESTED/PENDING

    That the Reports Requested/Pending report of the Democracy Advisor, dated 23 May 2007, be received.

  6. Top CITYWIDE ARTWORKS FUND 2006/2007

    1. That due to the postponement of the Otahuhu Recreation Centre Artwork and Fanshawe Street Widening Artwork projects, the Public Art Subcommittee endorse the reallocation of $135,000 from the CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) Citywide Artworks Funding 2006-2007 from these projects, to a new public artwork for the Talbot Park Housing New Zealand community renewal project, and for additional funding for Vector Arena artworks.
    2. That officers report back to the Public Art Subcommittee on a Memorandum of Understanding with Transit as a matter of urgency.

  7. Top DAVID LANGE MEMORIAL ARTWORK OTAHUHU

    That the resolutions of the Arts, Culture and Recreation Committee, dated 4 April 2007, be received.

  8. Top AUCKLAND DOMAIN - RAF BOMBER COMMAND MEMORIAL

    1. That the resolutions of the Arts, Culture and Recreation Committee, dated 4 April 2007, be received.
    2. That progress on the development of an armed services memorial within the Cenotaph area be reported back to the Public Art Subcommittee.

  9. Top TWISTER SCULPTURE

    1. That subject to resource consent the Public Art Subcommittee endorse the siting of the Twister sculpture on the proposed Halsey Street extension site.
    2. That the Public Art Subcommittee notes a resource consent application has not yet been lodged for the Twister Sculpture, and no determination has been made by the Auckland Regional Council.

    CARRIED

    There being no further business the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 3:48 pm
