The
Democracy Advisor called for nominations for Chairperson of the Transport
Resolutions Sub-committee for the 31 August 2007 meeting as the Chairman was
absent. There was one nomination.
That Brian Tomlinson be appointed as the Chairperson of the Transport
Resolutions Sub-committee for the 31 August 2007 meeting, in accordance with
Schedule 7, clause 25 of the Local Government Act, noting that no member has a
casting vote.

That the minutes
of the Transport Resolutions Subcommittee meeting held on Friday, 27 July 2007

EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS
The Chairperson
advised the Transport Resolutions Sub Committee of an item of extraordinary
business regarding the implementation of no stopping at all times restrictions
and a bus stop at Carr Road, Hillsborough, Mt Roskill Ward.
That an extraordinary item of business be considered as agenda item 64 to enable
the Transport Resolutions Sub Transport Committee to approve the no stopping at
all times restrictions and bus stop for Carr Road, Hillsborough, Mt Roskill Ward
for the reason that Bunnings Hardware House at 2 Carr Road will be opening on 17
September 2007 and all the road markings, safety signs and physical changes to
street furniture need to be completed prior to this date.

RESTRICTIONS (PARK ROAD TO SUITER STREET, NEWMARKET) - RESOLUTION ID - 12018
- That pursuant to clause 25.17 of the Auckland City
Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended),
- the road or part of road described in this resolution
is specified as the location of a special vehicle lane between the hours of: 7
am to 9 am and 4 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Friday;
- the use of the special vehicle lane specified in this
resolution is restricted to buses, cycles, mopeds and motorcycles (unless one or
more are specified in this resolution as excluded);
- the special vehicle lanes described in this resolution
will be evidenced by the appropriate signs and markings.
- Khyber Pass Road, north side, from a point 110.5 metres east of
the extended line of the eastern kerb line of Park Road, extending east for a
distance of 266.0 metres (Refer area marked A1).
- Khyber Pass Road, south side, from a point 15.0 metres west of the

the hours of 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am to 6 pm Saturday;
- the restriction will be evidenced by the appropriate signs.

between the hours of 7 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Friday and will be
evidenced by the appropriate clearway signs.

- (ii) between the hours of 6 pm to 12 midnight only buses are
entitled to use the parking place described in this resolution;
- (iii) the conditions subject to the parking place will be evidenced
by the appropriate signs and markings.

the extended line of the eastern kerb line of Park Road and extending east for a

- That all previous resolutions of Auckland City Council pertaining to
stopping, loading, or parking of vehicles, special vehicle lanes and cycle
paths, made pursuant to clauses 25.8 to 25.18 of the Auckland City Council
Bylaw, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended), in the areas described in this
resolution are revoked.
- That this resolution will take effect when the traffic control devices
that evidence the restrictions described in this resolution are in place.

- That pursuant to clause 25.17 of the Auckland City
Consolidated Bylaw 1998, Part 25 Traffic 2006 (as amended),
- the road or part of road described in this resolution
is specified as the a location of a special vehicle lane between the hours from
7 am to 9 am and from 4 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Friday;
- the use of the special vehicle lane specified in this
resolution is restricted to buses, cycles, mopeds and motorcycles (unless one or

a broken yellow line in conformity with the provisions of Section 12.2(1) of
