EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (as amended) states: |

"An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at
that meeting if- |
|
(a) |
The local authority by resolution so decides; and |
|
(b) |
The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open
to the public,- |
|
|
(i) |
The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and |
|
|
(ii) |
The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a
subsequent meeting." |

Section 46A(7A) of the Local Government Official Information and

"Where an item is not on the agenda for a meeting,- |

the eighth season of the Safeswim programme during summer 2006./2007, 20 beaches
across the isthmus and Hauraki Gulf Islands were monitored weekly for 25 weeks
in order to determine bacteriological water quality and reduce public health
risk by updating the public on beach water quality and health education.

the Committee receive the report and it be forwarded to community boards for
their information.

considered by the Ngati Whatua o Orakei Reserves Board at its 17 May 2007
meeting advising of the Reserves Board's successful appeal in opposing the
construction of a new outfall line through Okahu Bay. The Reserves Board
resolved that the Committee be advised that the Board supports improvements to
the existing outfall at Okahu Bay.
