WASTE MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE OF NEW ZEALAND CONFERENCE
Councillor Christian moved:
That the Works and Services Committee appoint the Chairman as
its representative to attend the Waste Management Institute of New Zealand
(WasteMINZ) annual conference in Rotorua from 1 to 3 November 2005.

QUARTERLY UPDATE WASTE PROJECTS FROM CITY PLANNING
That the Team Leader, Environmental Projects, continue to
provide a quarterly update to the Works and Services Committee on waste
minimisation work.

98 GRAMPIAN RD ST HELIERS HEARING OF OBJECTION
That, on advice of the execution of a legal agreement giving
access sufficient for drainage of 70 Allum Street through 100 Grampian Road, the
Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Works and Services Committee be delegated to
conclude the 98 Grampian Road hearing by abandoning the works through 98
Grampian Road.

NOTICE TO INSTALL STORMWATER DRAINS

That the public be excluded from the following parts of the
proceedings of this meeting.
The general subject of each matter to be considered while the
public is excluded, the reason for passing this resolution in relation to each
matter, and the specific grounds under Section 48(1) of the Local Government
Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 for the passing of this resolution

Notice To Install Stormwater Drains |

This resolution is made in reliance on Section 48(1)(d) of
the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 in that the
exclusion of the public is necessary to enable the Committee to deliberate in
private on a decision where a right of appeal lies to a Court.
Following the Committee's deliberation, the meeting returned into Open.
- That, having heard and considered the objection of Mr
Williamson, the Works and Services Committee approve the installation of a
public sanitary sewer, by thrusting, through 26 Darwin Lane.
- That the Manager, Utility Planning, be requested to present Mr
Williamson's written submission regarding the stability and related geotechnical
issues of the properties at 5, 26 and 28 Darwin Lane to Mr Evans' professional
advisers (Tonkin & Taylor), requesting confirmation of their assurances as to
the suitability of the installation of a public sanitary sewer through 26 Darwin
Lane.
- That Mr Williamson's submission and the updated opinion from Mr
Evans' professional advisers (Tonkin & Taylor) be forwarded to Auckland City
Environments, for consideration when processing consent applications relating to
5, 26 and 28 Darwin Lane.

There being no further business the Chairman declared the
meeting closed at 3.39pm.
