CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

That the minutes of the Auckland City Youth Council meeting held on
Monday, 21 March 2005 be confirmed as a true and correct record.

EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS
There was no extraordinary business.
PUBLIC FORUM
There were no requests to speak in public forum.
NEW MEMBERS/RESIGNATIONS
There were no new members or resignations.
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT

That the Chairman's report dated 8 April 2005 be received.

MEMBERS' UPDATE
Sam Beanland requested that the members' updates provided for the
agenda also be forwarded for updating the website. The Chairman requested
that members email their updates before the close of agenda. If updates are
to be presented verbally at the meeting, members should also have a written
copy available for inclusion in the minutes.

ADVISOR'S UPDATE
There was no Advisor's Update.
PROJECT UPDATES
9.1. ANZAC PROJECT
Aritra requested that members confirm with him which of the ANZAC
ceremonies they would be attending.

That the verbal report from Aritra Ray regarding the ANZAC Project be
received.

9.2. CONVERSE '05 PROJECT UPDATE
Melanie provided members with an update regarding the Converse '05
event; outlining the purpose of the project, the programme for the day,
guest speakers and the expected outcomes. She requested volunteers from
the Youth Council to assist on the day of the event. Melanie also tabled
a budget relating to the Converse '05 Project.

That the verbal report from Melanie Cripps regarding the Converse '05
project be received, and that expenditure of $3,500 be approved from the
$10,000 budget allocated in the 2004/2005 annual plan, subject to sign
off from the Chair of the Community Development & Equity Committee.

John Osborne requested that his vote against the motion be recorded.
9.3 ACYC LOGO
Melanie Cripps updated the Youth Council on progress regarding the
Youth Council logo, and the advice she had received from Communications
and Marketing that a logo is not allowed. The Community Advisor was
asked to follow up on this matter as the advice received is contrary to
previous advice received.

That the verbal report from Melanie Cripps regarding the Auckland
City Youth Council logo be received and that the Chairman and the
Community Advisor be requested to follow up on this issue with the
Communications and Marketing Group to report back to the May meeting of
the Auckland City Youth Council.

That an outline of the executive committee, including its tasks, roles of
the committee and its members, be circulated for discussion at the project
team meeting of 2 May 2005.

CODE OF CONDUCT

That the Code of Conduct be noted and that, if a photograph of a Auckland
City Youth Council member is to be used for Auckland City Youth Council
promotional purposes, that sign off from the specific Youth Council member
be obtained each time.

Secretarial Note:
On behalf of the Auckland City Youth Council, Louise Phyn presented flowers
to Melanie Cripps in recognition of her contribution to the Youth Council over
the last year both behind the scenes and at meetings.
There being no further business the Chairman declared the meeting closed at
6.20pm.
