CARRIED
SHORT FILM INITIATIVE
The Youth Council raised the following concerns:
- The families haven't been contacted and permission
sought.
- No contingency plan if families don't agree.
- The scripts appear to be presumptuous.
- The script could be seen as judgemental and one sided
it does not show the victim's side.
- What accountability is there by the project team to the
Auckland City Youth Council.
- How is the $15,000 going to be spent.
- Will this film help youth to empathise.
- Will there be problems by showing a biased film to
school children.
Moved: Pelema Taulapapa
Seconded: Sean Taylor
- That the verbal report of Louise Phyn on the Short
Film Initiative be received.
- That a letter be written to Jordan Dodson, Oliver
Page and Daisy Lawless thanking them for bringing this project to the Auckland
City Youth Council's attention explaining the Youth Council's concerns.
