EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS
The following item
was introduced by the Chairman.
The Local Government
Act 2002(Amendment Act 2004) has amended clauses 46A(7) and 46A(7A) of the Local
Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 in relation to
extraordinary business. The following is a summary of the changes:
Section 46A(7)
Provides for a
meeting of the council, a committee or community board to have the
ability to consider and resolve a matter of importance where there may be, for
example, time constraints.
The chairman decided
that these items would be discussed and dealt with as the items introduced
needed to be dealt with prior to the next meeting.
3.1 AUCKLAND CITY YOUTH COUNCIL SUBMISSION ON THE LONG TERM COUNCIL
COMMUNITY PLAN 2006-2016

Ms Kirsty Pillay,
Youth Participation Advisor from the Ministry of Youth Development (MYD) gave a
presentation and provided information to the Youth Council on her role and the
MYD.

Auckland City Youth Council member, tabled a draft copy of the Auckland City
Youth Council's Submission to Auckland City's Long Term Council Community Plan
2006 2016.

Council Community Plan (LTCCP) working party consisting of Guanting Liu, Melanie
Cripps, Natasha Sarkar, Andrew Harland-Smith, Zachary Castles and Sam Beanland
be delegated authority to complete the final wording of the Auckland City Youth
Council submission to the LTCCP for the 2006 2016 period.
