2. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

   That the minutes of the Auckland City Youth Council meeting, held on Monday 19 February 2007, be confirmed as a true and correct record.

3. EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS

   There was no extraordinary business.
    

4. PUBLIC FORUM

   There were no requests to speak in public forum.
    

5. AUCKLAND CITY'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

   Moved: Guanting Liu / Jayran Mansouri

   1. That Emily l’Ami, Education Policy Analyst Economic Development, Nadia de Blaauw, Consultant, and Councillor Richard Northey, Chairman of the Economic Development and Sustainable Business Committee, be thanked for their presentation regarding the Economic Development Strategy for Auckland City.
   2. That the report of the Group Manager, Economic Development, dated 5 March 2007, be received.
   3. Recommending that the following information be considered within the Auckland City Youth Council Annual Plan submission:

   • Opportunities to improve the city’s productivity and to promote economic development in Auckland;
   • Potential roles or youth in the economic development strategy;
   • The council’s role in economic development.

6. CHAIRPERSONS REPORT

   That the Chairpersons Report, dated 12 March 2007, be received.

7. COMMUNITY ADVISOR’S UPDATE

   Moved: Guanting Liu / Sam Beanland

   1. That the report of the Community Youth Advisor, dated 12 March 2007, be received.
   2. That Sam Beanland, Brooke Duffield and Danielle Duffield be included on the Regional Converse 07 Project Team.
   3. That Olivia Boddy, Salim Siddiqui, Zachary Castles and Dexter Henderson be included on the Local Converse 07 Project Team.
   4. That Natasha Sarkar, Zachary Castles, Clara Kim, Olivia Boddy, Jayran Mansouri and Harriet Spratt be included in the ‘Probables versus Possibles’ Mayoral Forum Project Team.
   5. That Dexter Henderson, Salim Siddiqui and Sam Beanland be included in a project team to design a uniform for ACYC Members.
   6. That Stephanie Jowett be thanked for her commitment to Auckland City Youth Council over the past three years and wished all the best in her new role.

8. ELECTION OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS

   Moved: Guanting Liu / Zachary Castles

   That the Executive Committee continue for 12 months and comprise of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Auckland City Youth Council members Andrew Harland-Smith, Sam Beanland, Clara Kim, Olivia Boddy and Jayran Mansouri.

9. MEMBERS’ UPDATE

   Moved: Guanting Liu / Dexter Henderson

   1. That the verbal report from Jaryran Mansouri, regarding the Young Peoples Reference Group in Wellington be received.
   2. That the verbal update from Sam Beanland regarding the Youth Participation Workshop be received.
   3. That the Members Updates be received.
