4.1. BEV CHAMBERLAIN and Kathryn Doughty - AKACTIVE programme
Bev Chamberlain, Project manager AKActive, and Kathryn Doughty,
AKActive Youth Community Facilitator, addressed the
Auckland City Youth Council on the 'AKActive Youth Programme' being conducted
during the upcoming school holidays. Kathryn advised the Auckland City Youth
Council with the YMCA website address that outlines the programme,

for their information.

4.2 PANSY WONG - MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT
Pansy Wong, Member of Parliament, addressed the Auckland City Youth Council on
issues concerning new migrants to the Auckland area. Pansy asked Auckland City
Youth Council members for their opinions concerning the use of 'ethnic labels'
often associated with new migrants, and the need for more language options
within the New Zealand schools curriculum.
