Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (as amended) states: |

"An item that is not on the agenda for a meeting may be dealt with at
that meeting if- |

The local authority by resolution so decides; and |
|
(b) |
The presiding member explains at the meeting at a time when it is open
to the public,- |

(i) |
The reason why the item is not on the agenda; and |
|

(ii) |
The reason why the discussion of the item cannot be delayed until a
subsequent meeting." |

This
report relates to:
Supplier Recommendation for Five Professional Services Contracts Relating to
Asset Management and Detailed Design
Seeking council approval to award the following contacts to the appropriate
contractor.
PS/07/486 - Condition assessment and forward works planning for roads,
cycle-ways and car parks; covering all Auckland areas to Opus International
Consultants Ltd (Opus) for $2,772,196
PS/07/545 - Condition assessment and forward works planning for structures,
drainage and over-dimension vehicle issues; covering all Auckland City areas to
GHD Limited for $2,881,708
PS/08/553 - Detailed design and associated services for roading, drainage and
structures; covering the Southern third of the Isthmus to Opus for $2,395,488
PS/08/554 - Detailed design and associated services for roading, drainage and
structures; covering the Eastern third of the Isthmus be awarded to Beca
Infrastructure Limited for $2,675,415
PS/08/555 - Detailed design and associated services for roading, drainage and

CITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT NO. 04/2008
This
report relates to:

Delegated Review, Additional Regulatory Delegations
Seeking council authorisation to create a new class of Hearings Commissioners
who have delegated authority to consider and determine resource consent
applications. The team leader Hearing Commissioners shall have the same
delegated authority as that expressly granted to planning team leaders in
council's delegation register.

SP862 Upper Abbotts Way Stormwater Upgrade
Seeking council approval to accept the Harker Underground Construction Ltd
tender of $5.4 million (inclusive of contingency sum but exclusive of provision
sum of GST) for the Upper Abbotts Way stormwater upgrade project. Furthermore,
to include a provisional sum of $5.0 million as provided for in the tender
document resulting in a total contract sum of $10.4 million.

necessary to enable the local authority to carry out, without prejudice
or disadvantage, commercial activities.
In particular,
confidentiality is required as the report for item iii contains
confidential financial and commercial information relating to various
