Building consent summary

Application number
This is the building consent number. Click on the link to view more information about the consent.

Application type /Application description
Provides a description of the consent application and the building work.

Status
The 'Status' relates to the progress of the building consent or the Code compliance certificate, depending on what stage the building project is at.

Status Explanation
Approved The consent has been approved and is ready for collection
CCC Processing An application for a code compliance certificate is being processed
Exempt The application has been processed and the work has been deemed exempt from needing building consent
Issued The consent has been issued to the applicant
Lapsed Work was not started within the timeframe for the consent and it has lapsed
On Hold The application is awaiting further information
Pending Payment The application is ready to lodge however fees have not been paid. Fees must be paid within 24 hours or the application will be rejected
Processing The application is being processed
Refused The application has been processed and refused

 


Tasks

Tasks are completed at each stage of processing. Completed tasks and the date they were completed are listed.

Code compliance certificate processing - CCC applications will only be processed once the final inspection has taken place and been passed.

Pre-2009 consents

  • task information for pre-2009 consents may not be complete
  • pre-1991 permits do not require CCC
Task Explanation
'Awaiting Uplift' tasks Consent is approved and waiting for applicant
Building Processing Final Report Consent processing has finished but admin / scanning needs to be done before the consent is ready to issue
City Planning - Heritage input The application relates to the central area and is with a heritage officer for processing
City Planning - Planning input The application relates to the central area and is with a planner for processing
'Create' tasks An application has been received
Drainage Processing The application is with a drainage engineer for processing
Finalise CCC Code compliance certificate is prepared for scanning
Final Inspection Final inspection has been booked
The completed date shown may not be the actual inspection date. It indicates when the inspection process, including administration, is complete. Please contact us if you require further clarification.
Planning The application is with a planner for processing
Process CCC Code compliance certificate application is processing
Quality Control Audit for COA The application for a Certificate of acceptance is checked for quality and completeness
Quality Control Audit for Consent The application is checked for quality and completeness
Structural Engineering The application is with a structural engineer for processing.

 


Decisions

Shows the most recent decision that has been made on the consent application.

NB - if the current decision says that the building consent has been issued (Building Consent Issued) but the Status shows as On Hold, this means that a further application has been made - for a CCC - and this is awaiting a decision. Pre-1991 permits do not require CCC.

Approved for Uplift The consent has been approved and is pending payment for outstanding fees or development contributions.
Before 1991, this was the final decision in the consent process when the consent was issued to the applicant.
Building Code Certificate Issued Building code certificate has been issued to the applicant
Building Consent Issued Consent has been issued to the applicant
Cancelled The application has been cancelled
Certificate for Public Use Issued Certificate for public use has been issued to the applicant
Certificate of Acceptance Issued Certificate of acceptance has been issued to the applicant
Code Compliance Certificate Issued Code compliance certificate has been issued to the applicant
Code Compliance Certificate Withdrawn The application has been withdrawn by the applicant
Exempt Building Certificate Issued The application has been processed and the work has been deemed exempt from needing building consent
Exemption Granted Exemption from requirement for building consent granted
Extension of Time Extension of time to start / complete work granted
Interim Building Code Certificate Issued Interim Building code certificate has been issued to the applicant
Lapsed Work was not started within the timeframe for the consent and it has lapsed
Refused Building Consent refused as proposed work would not meet Building Code
Rejected Rejected as insufficient information received for lodgement.
Before 2009, rejected consents would be reinstated using the same building consent number once all required information was received, in these cases the decision would change from Rejected to Approved.
Safe/Sanitary Issued Safe and sanitary report accepted
Withdrawn The application has been withdrawn by the applicant
