AUT University is a major stakeholder in the CBD and contributes to the CBD in the following ways:

• it's a major employer and has significant business links with other occupants of the CBD
• its students rely on the services available in the CBD, including accommodation
• it contributes to the cultural, social and economic development of the city
• many of the businesses in the CBD employ its graduates
• its international students are influenced, inter-alia, by the reputation of Auckland as a city.

Why I'm passionate about Auckland's CBD

The Auckland CBD is the cultural, social and economic heart of the city. Its success, as a place to work, study, live or visit, is pivotal to the reputation and success of the city.
