Residents advisory group

A CBD residents advisory group has been set up to ensure residents are actively involved and contribute to the work the council is undertaking in Auckland's CBD.

Auckland City called for residents to join the group in August 2004, with a view to establishing an ongoing relationship between council representatives and CBD residents.

The group is a direct result of research undertaken during the development of Auckland's CBD Into the future strategy. This strategy recognises that the vision for the CBD is not something that Auckland City will achieve on its own - it will require the commitment and participation of all of the CBD's stakeholders.

The aim of the group is to provide people living in the CBD with a sense of community and belonging. It also provides interested CBD residents with a forum in which they can discuss issues of concern, receive information and, most importantly, have their say.

The group is interested in making contact with new CBD residents. Contact us if you are a CBD resident and would like to join the group or if you'd like to know when the next meeting will be held.
