Introduction
We're getting on with upgrading a majority of the walking tracks that run throughout the Auckland Domain from January
2008 through to mid February 2009.
The improvements will result in a network of tracks that are accessible and more enjoyable in all weather conditions.
What will be involved
Auckland City Council contractors will be upgrading one to two tracks at a time. Improvement work includes the resurfacing and upgrading of
steps and surface drainage. Some tracks may require more work than others.

Closures during the upgrade
In some cases the tracks be closed while works are in progress. Contractors will be required to close some of the tracks while work is taking place.
Other tracks will remain open but caution should be taken.
Signs will indicate whether or not a track is closed during its upgrade or if caution is necessary.
To ensure you encounter minimal disruption while improvements are taking place, keep in mind the schedule above and try to plan alternate routes
just in case.
