Description
Four coastal reserves in the Western bays area are scheduled to be upgraded
in conjunction with restoration projects for six western beaches.
This project seeks to enhance these beach reserves - many of which are hidden coastal gems and have been neglected over the years.
The following four coastal reserves are also scheduled to be upgraded between April and July 2008:
- Marine Parade
- Bella Vista Reserve
- Cremorne Reserve
- Home Bay Beach Reserve
See Beach sand replenishment projects for more information
about the restoration projects.
Project outcomes
The outcomes of the project are:
- reserve development that meets community needs and creates an attractive environment appropriate to the coastal location
- increased public awareness, use, and visibility. A greater connection to the surrounding area
- the upgrade and repair of park furniture and infrastructure, including safe and desirable public facilities where appropriate
- a series of clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing reserve environments.
