ACC provides personal injury cover for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand. ACC is responsible for preventing injury, collecting personal injury levies, and providing the best treatment and care if injury occurs to quickly rehabilitate people back to work.

Age Concern NZ
A not for profit organisation dedicated to promoting quality of life and wellbeing for older people.

Alcohol Advisory Council
Primary objective is to promote moderation in the use of alcohol, and to develop and promote strategies that will reduce alcohol related problems for the nation.

Alcohol Healthwatch
A charitable trust dedicated to reducing and preventing alcohol related harm in NZ through effective health promotion.

Child Safety Foundation
One of New Zealand's most valuable charitable foundations established to teach safety to pre school and early primary school pupils.

Cochrane Library
Provides free access to quality evidence-based injury prevention research.

Health Promotion Forum
A national umbrella organisation funded by the Ministry of Health to provide national leadership and support for good health promotion practice consistent with Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Ottawa Charter.

The website links you to all the Injury Prevention Information Centre's services, injury literature and contacts databases and other resources. The website includes extensive links to other websites in New Zealand and around the world relevant to the injury prevention sector.

Injury Prevention Network of Aotearoa New Zealand
Aim is to promote safe living, working, and recreational environments and communities in Aotearoa New Zealand through injury prevention.

Injury Prevention programmes database
Includes details and contacts for programmes and projects around injury prevention in NZ.

Injury Prevention Resource Unit
Goal is to contribute to reducing the incidence, severity and consequences of injury in New Zealand.

Injury New Zealand e-Directory (INZED)
INZED is  the injury prevention contacts database, containing the names of over 250 people working in injury prevention and control or rehabilitation in NZ.

IPLit database
IPLit is the database of all the books, journal articles, reports, etc, either collected by or identified online by the IPRC Information and Resource Unit.

IP Online
Launched as the official journal of the International Society for Child and Adolescent Injury Prevention, and now includes the prevention of injuries in all age groups.

Land Transport Safety Authority
Charged with promoting land transport safety at reasonable cost, and manages the government's interests in the safety of road and rail networks, and vehicle fleets.

This site has safety tips, interactive games and projects aimed at 5 to 10 year olds, and lots of information about energy.

Ministry of Consumer Affairs
A government site with information related to product safety and consumer rights.

National Roading Committee web forum
This web site provides an interactive forum around road safety issues. It contains information and feedback from regional engagement workshops held around key road safety issues.

NZ Injury Prevention Strategy
Establishes the government's strategic direction and framework to improve New Zealand's injury prevention performance.

NZ Fire Service
This site provides information about the NZ Fire Service, including the latest fire safety campaigns and publications.

NZ Institute for Research on Ageing
An initiative from Victoria University of Wellington. Its mission is to foster understanding of such issues through promoting multidisciplinary research, in partnership with other interested organisations and individuals.

Road Safe Auckland
Aim is to promote road safety activities and projects that are occuring in the Auckland region.

Road Sense Ata Haere
Provides support for an education programme to improve the safety of primary and intermediate school children when they are on or near the road.

Safekids
The child safety service of Starship Children's Health whose aim is to reduce the numbers of children who are admitted to hospitals, or killed by preventable injuries.
