Construction
An upgrade to the stormwater system around Lumsden Green is due to start in May 2008.
This is mainly to address flooding issues, however stormwater and waste water will be separated at the same time.
Much of the green will be closed to the public while these works are carried
out.
Work involves the sinking of a 25m shaft in Lumsden Green, prior to underground tunnelling in the directions of Broadway and Kingdon Street.
The landscaping and improvement work is scheduled to begin once the stormwater system is completed.
