Introduction | What the plan will achieve | What the plan has achieved

What the plan will achieve

The key objectives of the plan are to:

  • improve pedestrian access and give pedestrians priority over vehicles;
  • encourage public respect for the consecrated ground of the cenotaph and court of honour;
  • complement the museum and the tuff ring it stands on with appropriate tree planting;
  • improve the lighting in the museum surrounds; and
  • enhance the heritage and cultural value of the area for the local community and tourists alike.
