Stonefields park development
Stonefields is a new master planned suburb encompassing 110 hectares that will
eventually have 2900 homes and apartments for 6500 residents. It is being developed
in the old Winstone's quarry in Mt Wellington.
The Stonefields master plan was created by Landco in consultation with Auckland
City Council, Auckland Regional Council, local community boards and other key partners.
Development of two neighbourhood parks in the area started in May 2009 and will
be complete in August 2009.
The Kickaball Park work includes paving, drainage, planting, development of a
grassed area and installation of a playground.
The Volcano Park also includes paving, drainage, planting and also landscaping
work.
