Travel Advice

  • Consider catching a bus to the complex. All Mt Wellington buses have been redirected via the complex on a permanent basis now. This means that you won't have far to walk, and best of all, won't have to worry about parking! Visit www.maxx.co.nz for which bus to catch.

  • Think about travelling outside peak commuter travel times.

  • Keep an ear on the radio for traffic updates on opening days.
  • Use entrances three and five - entrance five is off Carbine Road.
  • Use alternatives to the Mt Wellington Highway - use Waipuna and Carbine roads or Clemow Drive instead.
  • Plan your journey ahead of time and think about where in the complex you want to go.
  • Best parking for:
    • Pak N' Save: entrance 3
    • The Warehouse: entrance 5 (Carbine Road)
    • Foodtown: entries 1 and 5
    • Other shops: entries 2 and 5
  • If you are visiting Pak N' Save from the north, get off the motorway at the Ellerslie-Panmure Highway and use Ellerslie-Panmure and Mt Wellington highways, Waipuna and Carbine roads, OR use the south-eastern highway to Carbine Road.
  • If you're visiting Pak N' Save from the south, head up Mt Wellington Highway to entrance 3 rather than the first entrance you see. The car parks nearest the motorway off-ramp (via entrance 1) will be the first to close.
