Training lights installation
Introduction | The parks involved
Introduction
Auckland City Council is installing new training lights at four sports parks. This is part of an effort to meet the city-wide shortage of
floodlit training fields.
The new lights have been designed to provide good quality lighting for the purpose of sports training, while minimising glare and spill
onto neighbouring properties. The intended hours of operation are from Monday to Friday until 9.30pm.
Construction is programmed to commence in mid June 2008 and take approximately eight to 12 weeks to complete. The old lights will be removed and disposed of.
