Heritage in Auckland

Our historic landscape

The historic landscape that Auckland exhibits today is a complex and intricate weaving of its archaeological, architectural, botanical, ecological, geographical, geological, social and Maori cultural roots. Together, these areas and landscapes create our historic landscape: a multi-dimensional memoir that tells the tale of what it has seen, what we see now and about emerging future layers.
