Renew your licence
We will send you a letter reminding you to renew your liquor licence, along
with an application pack, six weeks before your licence is due to expire. We
send this to the most recent postal address we have on file for you, so if your
postal address changes it is important that you tell us. Ultimately, it is your
responsibility as the licensee to make sure your application for renewal is
lodged in time.
You should send your renewal application to us 6-4 weeks before your licence
is due to expire although we will accept applications up to close-of-business on
the expiry date.
If your licence expires you will need to apply for a new one. This involves
starting from scratch and you will need to apply for a new liquor planning
certificate and a new building code certificates before you can lodge your new
application. Getting a new licence can be time consuming and expensive. It also
opens up greater opportunities for people to object to another licence being
granted. We are also required to inform the police and they may visit your
premises and ask you to remove alcohol from sale until a new licence is issued.
Fees
- the fee to renew an on, off or club licence is $793.24 (inc GST).
- the fee to renew a BYO on licence or caterers off licence is 134.93 (inc
GST).
Fees must be paid when the renewal application is lodged and are not refundable.
