Recreation centre
Situated in Mount Albert War Memorial Reserve, the recreation centre has a large stadium which provides the ideal venue for a variety
of sporting activities and school holiday programmes. Choose from basketball, children's gymnastics, badminton, martial arts, indoor
soccer league and much more.
The centre also has a spacious, well equipped fitness centre, with cardio equipment, weights, and a sun bed and offers yoga,
aerobics and personalised weights programmes.
There is a childminding facility on site for facility users.
The Mt Albert Community and Recreation Centre is home to the Mt Albert Gymnastics Club and the Mt Albert Badminton Club and many more.
The facility is run in partnership with YMCA. You can view further information about this facility by

Community centre
Community centres are individually managed by either a centre manager or
co-ordinator. If you would like to find out more information about this centre
and the activities, or would like to run a class or hold a meeting, please
contact the centre directly.
Rooms for hire
The centre has the following rooms for hire:
| Meeting room (1/2 room only): |
Caters for up to 10 people and has a kitchenette available |
| Garlick room: |
Caters for up to 10 to 25 people. Has a full kitchen with oven,
microwave, hob, fridge and dishwasher. |
| Taylor room: |
Caters for up to 30 to 40 people. Has a kitchenette in hall with a small bench, sink and boiling
water. |
| Ratray room: |
Caters for up to 20 to 30 people. Has a kitchenette available with
bench, sink and microwave. |
| Group exercise room: |
Caters for up to 50 to 80 people. Has mirrors, is air conditioned and
has carpeted floor. |
| Stadium: |
Caters for up to 200 to 300 people. Has one basketball court and four badminton courts. |
| Mezzanine: |
Caters for up to 50 people. Has a kitchen with oven, sink and boiling
water. |

| The prices in the table above are charged for the
casual hire of the rooms above. Application may be made to the centre
manager for discount for permanent hire if these fees are unable to be
met.
Hirers must supply their own equipment and resources as the centre
only supplies the room, tables and chairs.
A white board and overhead projector are available for an extra cost of
$10 per item per day.
