Introduction

RooflineThe value of all properties within Auckland City Council boundaries are reviewed as part of the three yearly valuations. All Auckland city properties received new annual, land and capital values in January 2006.

There is a new valuation happening in 2008. These values will be issued in October 2008.

Property owners and ratepayers will be advised of the new values in a valuation notice in October 2008.

The new values will take effect from 1 July 2009. These will replace the values published in January 2006.

We are legally required by the Rating Valuations Act 1998 to value all the properties within our boundaries at least once every three years. With the adoption of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 in July 2003 there have been some changes to the valuation process.
