Auckland City Council Wage Book for Men in Service in World War I 1916-1919

This wage book records the wages paid to Auckland City Council employees who served in World War I and covers the period from 1916 to 1919. The database includes the following details: name of employee, their designation, their address, departure date, length of service, weekly wages, who the order was payable to and their address, plus any remarks that were recorded. Additional research into those listed in the wage book has also been conducted and this information is displayed where available.

The database is searchable by name, designation, address (employee and receiver) and departure date. Use the Browse button to browse the contents of these fields. The search will return those entries that match your search criteria. Click on a serial number (where available) to view images and further information on a soldier from the Auckland War Memorial Museum's Cenotaph Database. You can also use the references provided to search Archives New Zealand's Archway Database for further information about a particular person.
