Auckland City Council History Index

Dr Bush's Index

| Help

The Auckland City Council History Index ("Dr Bush's Index") is made up of three indexes:
  1. Index compiled for “Decently and in order”, covering earliest years of Auckland local government to 1970.
  2. Index compiled for “Moving against the tide”
  3. Local Government Clippings Index (references to local government topics, 1973 - 1995)
The indexes were compiled by researchers working for Dr. G.W.A. Bush, author of two histories of the Auckland City Council "Decently and in order" (published for the centenary of the Council in 1971), and "Advance in order" (published in 1991). Dr Bush also wrote "Moving against the tide" (a history of the Brown's Island drainage controversy).
