Description
Showing a view of a large group of German prisoners of war in an enclosure with barbed wire fence. Some of the German soldiers wear helmets, but most wear caps or berets. Some have blankets around their shoulders. Several armed guards stand to their side on the left. Other prisoners are grouped in another barbed wire fence enclosure in the left background. There is explanatory text attached to this image on the full newspaper page. Large numbers of German prisoners were taken in April 1917.
