Description
Showing the back view of a French or Belgian soldier, followed by a dog, walking down a narrow path that has been cleared through the rubble in a street in a town in Flanders in World War I. The buildings on either side and at the end of the street are partially collapsed. On the left, a damaged street lantern is still attached to the remains of the building by an ornamental support.
