Description
Showing a crowd of children in Rotorua on 21 July 1919, the day set aside specifically for children in the celebrations to mark the official proclamation of peace after World War I. The row in the foreground is made up chiefly of little girls dressed in their best, many wearing broad-brimmed hats. Many of the children are holding small British or United States flags on sticks.
