Abstract

Scrapbooks and packages of letters, speeches and official reports by John A. Lee, letters addressed to him by private correspondents, minutes and reports of Labour Party committees, miscellaneous election material, pamphlets and newspaper articles on political subjects; all annotated throughout by the compiler.

The material is largely concerned with Labour policy between 1935 and 1940, Lee's expulsion from the party, and his formation of the Democratic Labour Party.
