Manuscripts online is a catalogue of the:

• Non-New Zealand Manuscript Collection. A collection of miscellaneous non-New Zealand manuscripts ranging in date from 1558 to the 20th century.
• New Zealand Manuscripts Collection. This consists of manuscripts and archives relating to New Zealand, particularly Auckland and Northland, from the early 19th century to the present. Current collecting concentrates on the performing arts, environmental, social action and community groups, music, literary papers, women's organisations, Māori collections, and personal papers and diaries.
• Digitised copies of the inward correspondence sent to Sir George Grey, known as the Grey New Zealand letters (GL NZ) (1798 letters)
