Grants and funding

Auckland City Council provides various types of assistance to help ensure the needs of Auckland's diverse community groups are being met. This assistance includes grants and funding for the arts, community groups and projects within Auckland City Council boundaries.

Funding available

Arts Alive funding scheme: For professional performing artists and organisations.
Built heritage: To assist people to conserve, restore and protect aspects of Auckland's built heritage.
Community Board Discretionary Funding: To assist community groups and other voluntary organisations operating within their communities.
Community Board Local Funding: Funding available from community boards.
Community Group Accommodation Support Fund: Funding available to assist with accommodation costs.
Community Group Assistance Fund (CGAF): Funding available for community groups with a citywide focus.
Creative Communities: For projects that are arts related.
Local event funding: For free events specific to community board areas.
Natural Area Conservation grant: For conservation projects on private land in the Hauraki Gulf Islands.
One Tree Hill Jubilee Educational Trust: For education or educational advancement in the One Tree Hill area.
Road safety Community Focused Activites: For groups and organisations interested in delivering road safety initiatives in their community
School holiday programme fund: Funding for school holiday programme providers.
Small Local Improvement Projects (SLIPs): small projects that can help to improve local surroundings or provide opportunities to the community
