Rates reminder

Auckland City Council reminds ratepayers they receive a 2.83 per cent discount by paying their 2007/2008 rates in full before 5pm on 20 August. Ratepayers can also pay in four equal instalments due by 5pm on 20 August, 20 November (2007), and 20 February and 20 May (2008) - or make regular payments using Rates Direct. If you're having difficulty paying your rates, you may be entitled to a rates postponement. You could also be eligible for a rates rebate of up to $500, depending on income and other criteria.
