Recognising good design

Several Auckland City Council projects were acknowledged at the recent Property Council Awards. The Central City Library received a merit award in the education and arts category, while three other council projects were nominated in the urban design category, sponsored by the council - the Karangahape Road and Quay Street upgrades and the Central City Library. Auckland War Memorial Museum, which the council contributes ongoing funding to, was the supreme winner.
