Auckland City Council received nearly 100 responses and submissions on its new cycling and walking framework. The council is developing the transport network and improving facilities, such as footpaths and cycleways, so Aucklanders can choose to walk and cycle more often. Feedback included requests for better maintenance and enforcement, more facilities and road education, and a greater focus on road safety. The framework is being revised to include the public's feedback before being considered by the Transport and Urban Linkages Committee.
