Swanson Street for revamp

With Vulcan Lane's restoration now complete, Auckland City Council is due to start work on its next CBD upgrade, lower Swanson Street, on 25 August. The $1.8 million upgrade will see new paving, lighting, trees, seating and art work installed between Queen Street and Mills Lane by mid-December. Businesses will remain open throughout construction, and work in the upper section of the street is scheduled to start next July.
