Diversity Forum

From City Scene, published on 19 August, 2007

Celebrate our country's unique and diverse communities at the 2007 New Zealand Diversity Forum from 25 to 28 August. This is the first time Auckand will host the diversity forum, which is organised by the Human Rights Commission in partnership with Auckland City Council, the Office of Ethnic Affairs, NZ National Commission for UNESCO and Auckland Museum.

The forums, which take place around the city, open up dialogue around our culturally diverse communities and cover everything from refugee issues and religion in schools to intercultural awareness training. The four-day long forum will end with the plenary forum on Tuesday, 28 August at the Auckland War Memorial Museum with a powhiri, guest speakers, and a youth challenge.
