Planning improvements to Westhaven Marina

From City Scene, published on 2 September, 2007

Auckland City Council is speaking with representatives of local resident groups, boaties and the marine industry on how the council's draft CBD waterfront master plan launched last month could improve Westhaven Marina. The principles of the Auckland Waterfront Vision 2040, which was published at the end of 2005 after extensive public consultation, form the basis of the master plan. In addition, the master plan is comprised of images and ideas to guide the location of new buildings, public open spaces, transport connections and different activities that will transform this part of our city. For more information, visit the Waterfront Display Centre at the New Zealand National Maritime Museum (corner Princes Wharf and Quay Street) to see how the vision for Auckland's CBD waterfront is evolving. The Waterfront Display Centre is open Wednesday to Friday (11am to 4pm) and Saturday and Sunday (10am to 5pm) until 12 October. Alternately, view the draft plan online and make a submission.
