Facility partnership

Mt Roskill's Tri Star Gymnasium has received $1 million from the council's facility partnership scheme. The grant towards a $3.2 million upgrade will help ensure the facility meets the needs of the growing number of young people interested in gymnastics and foster high sporting performance. The modern facility had a grand opening for the wider community earlier this month.

Since 2000, the council's facility partnership scheme has contributed more than $15 million towards developing $40 million worth of quality community facilities throughout the city - including Tamaki, Waiheke, Western Springs and Epsom. The scheme gives financial support to community groups wanting to develop new facilities for their community.
