The post box is your ballot boxFrom City Scene, published on 23 September, 2007
Electoral staff have been busy this week preparing for the mail-out of voting documents for this year's local body elections. Over the next few days the 285,779 electors enrolled in our city should receive a voting document, along with a booklet containing a brief profile and photograph of each candidate, and a prepaid envelope to return their voting document. Electoral officer Dale Ofsoske says legislation does not currently permit online voting or the return of faxed voting documents. "The simple message is to make your choices and get your voting documents in the post by 11 October." Mr Ofsoske reminds voters that there have been recent changes to some ward boundaries in Auckland city. The ward you reside in will be clearly marked on your voting documents.
