Oneroa's the spot for Waiheke's new library

From City Scene, published on 7 October, 2007

Waiheke Island's new library will be at Oneroa, a location chosen by the council's Community Development and Equity Committee after public consultation on redevelopment options and input from the Waiheke Community Board.

Committee chairperson Councillor Cathy Casey says the project represents" an incredible opportunity for Waiheke to get a new purpose-built and landmark library that reflects the community's needs and desires and links well with the Artworks complex." Preliminary designs for the library should be completed by late 2008. A council service centre will be built in Ostend.
