Stolen sculpturesFrom City Scene, published on 14 October, 2007 Auckland City Council has asked the police to investigate the theft of five Greer Twiss sculptures from the Auckland Domain. The bronze sculptures, which form part of the Graftings artwork located in the Wintergardens fernery, were stolen during the last weekend in September and the first weekend of October. The council's parks services manager, Mark Bowater, says he does not know why the sculptures have been targeted. "I would urge anyone who may know what has happened to these sculptures, or who may have any information about their whereabouts, to contact the police," he says.
