Coxs Creek improvementsFrom City Scene, published on 14 October, 2007 Residents near Coxs Creek are being advised of the council's proposal to improve water quality and reduce odours. The proposed works, to make the popular recreation area more pleasant for the community, include reinstating tidal flushing by dredging to increase the flow of water. "The project is part of a longer term programme by Auckland City Council and Metrowater to separate storm and wastewater networks in our city," says Grant Ockleston, the council's manager of water and landfill operations.
