Kick start your businessFrom City Scene, published on 28 October, 2007 Have you got a strong business idea but lack some of the skills you need to launch a business? The Kick Start seminar series, jointly funded by Auckland City Council and The Icehouse (International Centre for Entrepreneurship), may be able to provide you with the early-stage business knowledge you need. "Kick Start aims to provide a knowledge base, build business relationships and support networks," says The Icehouse's Terry Allen. "This allows entrepreneurs to assess the market potential of their idea and, ultimately, build the foundations of a successful business." The partnership with the council reflects the two organisations' efforts to support entrepreneurs and business growth in Auckland. Visit www.theicehouse.co.nz/start-up-seminar.html or email Marlina Al-Johary at m.al-johary@theicehouse.co.nz for more details and to register for the next seminar on Thursday, 8 November.
