Parnell Festival of Roses
Celebrate summer! - Come smell the roses at the Parnell Festival of Roses on Saturday 10, and Sunday, 11 November (noon to 6pm).

Celebrate the start of a summer of great Auckland events at the Parnell Festival of Roses on Saturday 10, and Sunday, 11 November (noon to 6pm).

As well as art and crafts, the festival features dance, poetry and musical performances against the backdrop of the Parnell Rose Gardens (Sir Dove-Myer Robinson Park). Other offerings include the Parnell Road market day (Saturday, 10am to 4pm), the official re-opening of the recently upgraded Heard Park (11am Saturday, 170 Parnell Road), and guided heritage walks.

If you're heading to the festival, check out the new weekly Parnell farmers' market (Jubilee Building, 545 Parnell Road, Saturday 8am to noon) - bringing fresh produce into the heart of Parnell.

And don't miss Auckland Rose Society's Exhibition of Roses (Holy Trinity Cathedral, Saturday 11am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm) and the Auckland Embroiderers' Guild's annual exhibition at Selwyn Library (12 St Stephens Avenue, 10am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday).

A free bus circuit runs every 20 minutes (10am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday), taking in all festival activities from Parnell Road to the Rose Gardens and St Stephens Avenue. Auckland City Council proudly brings the Parnell Festival of Roses to Aucklanders in partnership with Parnell Mainstreet Incorporated - and with support from the New Zealand Community Trust, Ecover and Easy Mix 98.2FM.
