Escape the heat at Auckland Art Gallery this summer and experience a vibrant world of imagination in the Making Worlds exhibition (3 November to 21 January). The family-friendly exhibition looks at how artists use their creativity to invent other worlds. Children are encouraged to do the same at hands-on workshops. As part of the exhibition the gallery is holding a free Big Day Art event on 9 December. Kids can come in costume to enjoy inspired make-believe, complete with a magician, badge and mask making, face painting and celebrities reading from their favourite books.
