Life's sweetFrom City Scene, published on 2 December, 2007 The Christmas season traditionally means an increase in drink driving incidents around Auckland city. This Christmas, Auckland City Council has teamed up with the New Zealand Police and SkyCity Auckland to support a "Life's sweet drive sober" campaign. The campaign encourages groups celebrating over the festive season to nominate a sober driver for the evening or take a taxi. Posters will be placed around the city, in local bars and in car parking buildings. Promotion teams will be in the CBD, Newmarket and Ponsonby on Friday nights leading up to Christmas handing out sweets with the drive sober message on them.
