Franklin Road's Christmas lights will be turned on again this December. The lights have become one of the city's biggest night attractions during the festive season but have caused traffic delays in the past. People are encouraged to enjoy the residents' lights on foot - either by catching a Link bus (and getting off at Ponsonby Road or Victoria Park) or by parking nearby and walking. Drivers who regularly use Ponsonby and Franklin roads at night are advised to use alternative routes during December.
